Psychology Journal is a refereed journal, but is independently operated. As such, Psychology Journal receives little external support and must levy a charge to authors to partially support publication costs. Our current charge is $15 per accepted manuscript page (including title page, abstract, references, etc). Costs include typesetting, galley proofs, three copies of the issue in which the article appears, and shipping. There is an additional fee for each table and figure.
An invoice for author charges is sent to the corresponding author after the manuscript has been accepted for publication. All payments MUST be made in U.S. funds and be made using personal, institutional, or cashier’s checks.
Authors can effectively reduce costs by editing and decreasing the length of manuscripts prior to submission.
You may also pay through PayPal with an additional charge of 3.2%. Simply request a PayPal invoice from the editor.
Note: Submission of a paper to Psychology Journal is a contract to publish with Psychology Journal if your paper is accepted.
